COMPUTER TIME CORRECTION PROGRAM
The built-in computer clock does not necessarily always keep up with the present and currant time. However, it is easy to keep the computer time accurate and up-to-date by using a small install utility and Windows service made for it. According to our personal experience, the best computer clock synchronization utility and Windows Service is NTP.
In the install program GUI you can choose the time server(s) that will be used for synchronization. You can later update the time server(s) in the ntp.conf file, which is located in the NTP program's ETC folder. You can do the update using Notepad or Notepad++ programs.

DISK PARTITION MANAGEMENT
We recommend the MiniTool Partition Wizard 12 program for Disk Partition Management. The program is free for personal and academic use and it has an English GUI. The program operates fast, it is easy to use and it supports also RAID disks the size of which is more than 2 TB. It is versatile with a strait forward GUI for all basic disk partition management.

REPLACEMENT FOR WINDOWS EXPLORER
We recommend as a replacement or as an addition to Windows explorer the free xplorer2 Lite program. In the program GUI you might like to choose in the View menu "Tile horizontally" and "Quick viewer". The program is much more versatile than Windows explorer, and it is free for personal and academic use.

LOCATOR
PROGRAM FOR FILES AND FOLDERS
FileLocator Lite is awesome, fast and versatile free program for finding files and folders. The program is free both in personal and commercial use. You have to register the company version (for free), and you will get a register number for it.

FILE AND FOLDER SYNCHRONIZATION
We recommend for synchronizing files and folders the free multi-language GUI program FreeFileSync. The program is handy and fast in making backups for files.

NOTEPAD
REPLACEMENT
We recommend as an alternative and extension to Notepad the Notepad++ program. This source code editor program is free and it has a multi-language GUI. I use Notepad++ personally for, for instance, web page editing and finishing, in addition to localizing a certain multi-language program.

BUILDING WEB PAGES
We recommend the free BlueGriffon program with multi-language GUI for building web pages. The program works in WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) principle and can be downloaded at BlueGriffon. A more versatile inexpensive paid for version exists additionally.
We recommend the free addon FireFTP that can be added to the also free Waterfox Classic or free Pale Moon browsers. The advantage with the Waterfox Classic browser and FireFTP addon is the multi language GUIs. The same applies to the Pale Moon browser and FireFTP addon.
(The program code used in the Pale Moon browser is apparently newer than that used in Waterfox Classic browser, which speaks for choosing the combination Pale Moon/FireFTP over Waterfox Classic/FireFTP.)
The current and also for browser safety quite current program code speaks for the choice of the Waterfox browser, when the addon FireFTP is not needed. Please also see our general recommendations for Internet Browsers.

CONTROL PROGRAM
We recommend the free TeamViewer program for remote control. TeamViewer has a multi-language GUI and is free in personal use.
